Record, stream, and monetize your Cairn play freely — here's exactly where you stand, in plain English.

Cairn is more fun when people play it out loud. Record it, stream it, and yes — make money doing it. Here's exactly where you stand, in plain English.
You can create, stream, and monetize
You have our blessing to record, screenshot, live-stream, and publish videos of your Cairn playthroughs — forever, with no permission needed and no form to fill out. This includes making money from that content in every ordinary way:
- Ad revenue on platforms like YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok.
- Sponsorships and brand deals attached to your Cairn videos or streams.
- Channel memberships, subscriptions, tips, and donations from your audience.
You keep what you earn. We don't take a cut, and we won't come knocking.
Using our name and images
Go ahead and use the name "Cairn" and screenshots or clips from the game to describe and promote your content — titles, thumbnails, descriptions, the lot. That's what they're there for. The built-in Capture Kit exists specifically to make your footage look great, so use it freely.
The small, good-faith asks
We only ask for basic courtesy, the kind you'd extend to any friend whose work you're sharing:
- Don't claim you are us. By all means make Cairn content — just don't present yourself or your channel as Cairn Studio, or imply your videos are official.
- Don't use our logo to imply endorsement. Talking about Cairn is great; dressing your project up to look like we sponsored or approved it is not.
- Keep it kind. No hateful, harassing, or otherwise abusive content built on top of Cairn.
That's genuinely it. Stay on the right side of those three and you never have to think about us again.
In plain English: Make videos and streams of Cairn. Earn money from them however you like — ads, sponsors, memberships. Use our name and screenshots to talk about your content. Just don't pretend to be Cairn Studio, don't fake our endorsement, and don't make hateful stuff. Done.
This is a friendly plain-language summary of how we think about creator content, not legal advice. If you're building a serious commercial venture around game content, it's always smart to consult your own counsel. Questions? Email hello@cairn.example.
